    Feast Opens in New Orleans

New Orleans, LA – Bringing Rustic European Fare to the dinner table, Feast offers New Orleans gastronomes everything they have been missing and a pig’s head to boot. Located in a cozy nook at 200 Julia Street, this acclaimed Houston-born restaurant is quickly earning a five star rating and a solid following of food lovers. Aside from cooking-up a menu of tried and true old world favorites with a fun, modern twist, Feast’s motto “Respect your Meat” assures you will be eating only local and happy animals.

Feast owners Richard Knight and James and Meagan Silk bring together many years of experience in the restaurant business. Their passion to bring customers a unique, European style dining experience is evidenced in each dish. Their combined efforts have earned many awards and nominations in the food world, including “Top Ten Best Restaurants in 2009” from Bon Appetit Magazine, and “Best New Restaurant in the United States from The James Beard Foundation”. Feast’s hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 5 -10 p.m. and are also open for lunch on Friday and Saturday from 11:45-2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made at 504.304.6318 or via email at feastneworleans@gmail.com.

Hi. A friend recommended your blog to me, it is great! I’m going to be in New Orleans in August for a food blogger conference. Wondering if you might be attending/able to get coffee. All the best, Sharon

I am researching food carts for a television show called Eat St.–currently working on New Orleans.
I would love to chat about your favourites, or if you could put me on to other local resources. Your help would be much appreciated.
    Please get in touch.

In the past, when I was curious about ordering unusual ingredients for cooking, I would have to search persistently and then pay a small fortune to have them delivered. Often, it would be months later that I found the proper ingredients to create a particular dish. I spent so much effort, that after a number of years the hunt became my purpose. How do you source unusual and interesting ingredients easily and affordably? The solution became Pike Global Foods (http://www.pikeglobalfoods.com). I created a service that does the sourcing for you. We have many interesting and unusual ingredients in inventory, but if Pike Global Foods doesn’t carry it, we will find it.

In our inventory, we stock unique ingredients like fennel pollen, pine cone syrup and century eggs. For products that are more commonly available, we find the best, such as Fleur de Sel de Guerande, King Trumpet mushrooms and Piment d’Espellette. More importantly, we want to make your quest easier by helping you find the ingredients you love to write about. We’re happy to offer favorable pricing to those willing to reciprocate with acknowledgement of the source. Please feel free to contact me directly at david.deckinger@pikeglobalfoods.com, if you have any questions or would like help finding a sought after ingredient.

    Best Regards,
