The dinner is priced at $70 per person, which includes both tax and tip. There are two seatings, one at 6, with hors d’oevres and drinks at 5:30, and the other at 9, with things getting started at 8:30. These events are always pretty fun; and consequently they fill up, though I’m told there’s still room for this one. $70 is a pretty good price for what’s being offered, and I’m hoping to get to the early seating, if only to enjoy the company of my pal Mark, “Sgt. Hugs” Wilson, who happens to be the brewmaster at Abita.
I would tell you to mention my name when you call to make reservations, but I would not recommend that to anyone, anywhere. I believe that most local restaurants have what can generously be described as a “tolerant” attitude where I am concerned, and that’s the places where I haven’t made an ass of myself. Not, you know, that I’ve made an ass of myself too often. As far as you know.
Anyway, if you’re looking for something to do on the 24th, this is a pretty good bet, despite the possibility that you may run into me there.
