How to make healthy peanut butter crisps

  • 4 tablespoon coconut oil or cocoa butter
  • 1/2 Chopped off peanut flour, or 1/4 cup nut butter of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, or for sugar-free: replace the maple with 1 tablespoon of additional oil and drops of stevia to taste
  • * To make the homemade crisps look exactly like real packaged peanut butter crisps, I have used and recommend this chocolate chip candy mold.Peanut Butter Crisps Recipe: Melt the first ingredient if it’s not already runny. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well to form a paste. (Note: I personally much prefer the taste of the crisps when made with coconut oil. However, use cocoa butter if you want to bake with the crisps.) Smooth into candy molds or on a sheet of wax or parchment paper, and freeze until solid. If you use the wax / parchment option, break the shavings into pieces once they are firm. The coconut version of these vegan peanut butter crisps should be kept in the freezer; the cocoa butter version can be stored in the refrigerator, freezer or at room temperature.See the nutritional value
